I will lose a day’s fishing to get my device installed – will I be compensated for that?

MMO is working to minimise any inconvenience experienced during the installation phase. For over six metre vessels, we have planned a series of locations where engineers will be on site for periods between 4 September to 30 November 2023, to allow you to plan around your normal routine. We are also giving fishers flexibility to choose an appointment date and time to suit them. 

Compensation claims for loss of fishing time to accommodate for an I-VMS device installation will be rejected and no payments will be made.
