It is based on a proven foundation and has evolved into an integrated data communication hub. The platform operates seamlessly across subsea, surface, and over the horizon environments.

Hybrid Connectivity Architecture

At its core is a hybrid connectivity architecture. This combines Iridium satellite with cellular LTE-M and Cat 1 bis networks, along with an intelligent surface node capability. Together, these enable reliable two-way communication between subsea assets and cloud infrastructure. This ensures continuous data flow, even in remote and challenging locations.

Edge Computing and Embedded Intelligence

SC2 Gen 2 features advanced STM32 based edge computing. This brings real-time processing and embedded AI directly onto the device. Using ultra-low-power microcontrollers and TinyML, the platform performs onboard data filtering, sensor fusion, anomaly detection, and event-driven decision-making. All of this works without constant connectivity.

Efficient Data and Power Management

This edge intelligence reduces bandwidth usage and optimises power consumption. It also ensures critical data is prioritised and transmitted efficiently, especially in constrained or intermittent environments.

The platform is purpose-built for harsh conditions. It delivers rugged reliability, efficient power management, and long operational life. Its low-power design reduces maintenance while maintaining consistent, high performance connectivity.

Cloud Platform and User Interface

SC2 Gen 2 is supported by a fully integrated, cloud-based user interface and mobile application suite. These are developed in-house by Succorfish. Operators can monitor, manage, and configure assets in real time through a secure and intuitive dashboard.

Real Time Visibility and Control

Users can access live positioning, system status, historical data, and alerts through a single interface. This provides complete visibility across distributed assets.

Security and Integration

The platform also supports tiered access control for secure multi-user environments. Full API integration allows seamless connectivity with enterprise systems and third-party platforms.
